Young Shaolin monks we met at a temple on our way up the mountain to Boddidharma's cave.

Two big guys (G.M. Mackenzee and Master Wickersham) congradulate each other on their success.  We pulled more weight up that mountain than anyone else.

Dr. Kimm on the way down the mountain.  You can see the trail on the left.

Looking back down the trail at the temple where we met the young monks.

Some of our group at the entrance  to the cave.

Looking back from further up the mountain.

Rest stop about half way up.  There were actually vendors at each rest area with water and souvenirs.  How they got all that stuff up the trail I don't even want to know.

Boddidharma's statue that sits just above the cave where he meditated for 9 years.  He is the man who brought Zin Buddhism to China and originated what we call "martial arts" by training his monks to defend themselves from robbers.

A view from a pagoda that sits on the summit of the mountain.

Starting back down the mountain.  The steps were so narrow in some places that you had to turn your feet sideways to get down them.
