SUNBI MARTIAL ARTS

MR CRAIG ALEXANDER

INSTRUCTORS

Craig Alexander was born on November 24, 1967. He attended Hinds Community College and Mississippi State University.  He lives with his wife and daughter in Flowood, Mississippi where he runs his real estate appraisal business.  Craig is a christian novelist and a member of Pinelake Baptist Church in Flowood where he serves as a small group Bible study leader.   He enjoys playing tennis and basketball which he considers supplemental physical exercise to his martial arts training.

His interest in the Martial Arts began at an early age as a result of  television shows like "Kung Fu" and action movies starring Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris.  The character's moves seemed like magic and even though he was unable to take lessons at that time he still longed to study their arts.

Mr. Alexander began his martial arts training in Tang Soo Do, Seibokan Shorin-Ryu and Tae Kwon Do while he was in college.  After receiving his first degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, he asked himself the question, "What am I going to do if someone grabs or tackles me?"  He felt his earlier training left him ill-prepared for situations of this type. This brought him to Sunbi Martial Arts and the World Han Mu Do Association where he has continued his training in Tae Kwon Do while beginning his training in Hapkido and Han Mu Do.

Mr. Alexander has trained under Master Tim Wickersham at Sunbi Martial Arts since June of 2000.  He now holds a Third Dan black belt in Tae Kwon Do and a First Dan black belt in Han Mu Do.  He won the  Grand Championship known as the "He-Young Kimm Cup" at the 2006 World Han Mu Do Association's international tournament.  His varied background in multiple styles of martial arts makes him a valuable instructor at our school.
